The Good Yarn is an incorporated association, which began operations in 1975 as a local support group for women to learn a craft. It soon grew to support a shop to sell their wares. It is now a seven-day-a-week operation run entirely by Volunteers. Bric-a-brac, craft goods, jams, pickles, and garden products make up the majority of sales. All profit is donated to local, state, national and international charities, and the Volunteers decide which charities will benefit from the funds.
New volunteers are always welcome.

Meetings are held at the CWA Rooms on the second Thursday of the month, commencing at 1pm, followed by afternoon tea – visitors are always welcome. Craft get-together is on the last Thursday of the month from 10-2pm. Bring any project you wish to work on and your lunch – tea and coffee provided.

The Auxiliary, an incorporated association, is made up of local volunteers, and raises funds to support the residents, their families and the staff of Warrigal Retirement Village, through the purchase of equipment and activities that fall outside the budget of Warrigal Residential Care Services.
