Welcome Packs

Our Way Of Welcoming You To Bundanoon

Bundanoon Welcome Packs

The idea of presenting ‘Welcome Packs’ to new residents to Bundanoon goes back about eighteen years. The pack usually consists of a jar of local jam or chutney, a folder containing information on most of the BCA Sub-Committees and interest groups with contact details and a welcome letter from our BCA President.

We also source more general information from Bush Fire awareness to bus timetables and a copy of the latest Jordan’s Crossing Gazette. This all goes into a brown-paper carrier bag and dressed up with a card and ribbon.

We always aim to present the bags personally, even though it may take several visits to find the owners at home!  There are forty to fifty of these ‘Welcome Packs’ distributed each year, and the new arrivals to our village appreciate receiving them and learning about our active community.

For Further Information:

The organisers of this welcome gesture are Lyn and Alan Morehen, who can be contacted at tallulah1938@gmail.com. They would welcome any assistance you can give – and the names of any new arrivals you know of.
